HFO Midwest, a regional distributor of CNC machine tools, tooling and accessories, and related engineering and support services, is seeking an ambitious and conscientious Parts Administrator. This role will provide exciting opportunities to work for a dynamic company in a fast-paced, growing industry. HFO Midwest is a division of Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America.
Summary of Responsibility:
The Parts Administrator will provide the highest level of service to our customers regarding parts order entry, tracking shipments, and data/system management. This person will interface with customers over the phone, via email and provide information to our customers when necessary. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Entering customer orders in our database; assisting in maintaining parts inventory
- Receiving incoming orders and returns from deliveries and properly allocating received items
- Preparing machines for shipping; stocking service vans
- Picking, packaging, and shipping of any outgoing orders, including proper required documentation
- Manage the parts inventory area; assist in spot checks and annual inventory audit
- Possessing and maintaining a basic knowledge of machine tool industry and products represented by the company
What You Will Contribute:
- Good interpersonal skills as well as some sort of customer service background.
- The ability to lift, carry, and push up to 80 pounds
- Ability to remain polite and helpful even when under pressure or extremely busy
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other related business programs: types at least 40 wpm
- A mechanical aptitude with the ability to comprehend drawings and charts.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus but not a requirement.
